Help Us FindEvery Teammate

Forty years is a long time. We do not have everyone's address — but between us, we know where nearly everybody ended up.

Vintage Pittsburgh Spirit poster: Team Spirit, Keep the Ball Rolling

Why this page exists

The hardest part is not the party

Organizing a dinner is easy. Tracking down everyone who wore the shirt between 1978 and 1986 is the real job — and it is the one thing we cannot do without you.

Most people will hear about this reunion because a former teammate picked up the phone or forwarded an email. If each person who finds this page reaches two more, we get everybody. Here are the three things that help most.

The old poster had it right. Keep the ball rolling.

One

Pass it along

Send this website to anyone connected to the Spirit — players, coaches, trainers, front office, broadcasters, and their families. There is a ready-made message below you can copy.

Two

Tell us who is missing

Know a name we should be chasing? Send it over, even without contact details. A name alone gives us something to work with.

Three

Post it where they will see it

Pittsburgh sports groups, MISL and indoor soccer pages, old teammates' feeds. One post in the right group reaches people we would never find otherwise.

The Pittsburgh Spirit is getting the team back together. All former players, coaches, and staff are invited to a reunion in Pittsburgh on October 9–10, 2026 — a welcome dinner at the Riverhounds Club on Friday, and Spirit recognition at the Riverhounds match on Saturday. Details and RSVP: pittsburghspirit.com — please RSVP by October 1, and book a hotel by September 8 for the group rate.

Who are we missing?

Send us a name

You do not need their phone number. A name and roughly what years they were around will help with connecting to more Spirit Alumni.

Who should we be looking for?

Player, coach, trainer, front office, broadcaster — whatever you recall.

Email, phone, city, employer, a relative's name — anything at all.

And who are you?

Contact details are used only to invite people to this reunion. Nothing is shared or sold.

Already know you are coming?
